Oh, yes… Only just to mention it… Does not take much writing… Both Blatter and Platini suspended for eight years. Blatter did not quite get it, what he made wrong… I guess, a kind of dementia… And my comment about it: If those two guys were “normal” officials, they would have been suspended for a lifetime. Still, corrupcy amongst FIFA… One corrupt person gets rid of others. But I think, that, in each sport, officials are at least as corrupt as in world soccer/football… I just have to think of Formula 1…
Today, a football (soccer) game between France and Germany was played… Well, acutally yesterday… But happenings in Paris succeeded the sporting value of that game. Most likely, again, an islamic terrorist act with two detonations, shootings and hostage-taking shocked the wohle world watching that game, and anywhere else. To deliver no platform for these terrorists, I mention that under “sports”… The game must go on. Yet, my condolences go to those people who lost relatives, friends and other loved ones. Maybe, George W. Bush was right in his statement: “We make no distinction between these people, who commited these acts, and those, who hord with them.” You cannot accept these terrorists living amongst us in a modern Middle European Country. AND AGAIN: NO, YOU ARE NOT A PEACEFUL RELIGION!!!
What was a speculation of mine yesterday, now is reality… Muslim radicalists committed these acts in Paris again. Amongst those refugees coming to Europe, some 10% of them really are refugees from war… BUT, at least the same amount of them are violent muslims, and, perhaps 1% of them are willing to commit suicide acts. That is a guess, but not a speculation. Politicians know about that risk, but are totally overwhelmed and don’t know what they should do. Their most important act is to reject suggestions of other parties, no matter how helpful they really are.
Things turned out worse than I expected them to be… I should have mentioned it unter “political and social”-section. Today, it was announced, that the head of the terrorist attacks has been killed yesterday, during police operation. Very good news. I LIKE. The family of that terrorist even prayed for his death. Many people were arrested the last couple of days in Belgium and France. I would arrest them, and play christian songs, and so on, all the time in their arrest cells.
Now, things really get nasty for our “Kaiser” Franz Beckenbauer… Source: Süddeutsche: Affäre um Fußball-WM 2006 – Ein Papier, das alles verändert [DE], translation: affair about Football (Soccer) World Cup 2006 – A paper that changes everything.
Yet, again, a topic about FIFA. I leave it uncommented that time.
Source: Süddeutsche online: Fifa wollte “Afrika-Spende” vom WM-OK [DE], translation: FIFA requested “donation to Africa”.
DFB chairman, Wolfgang Niersbach, resigned yesterday, because of being accused to be involved in corrupcy. Again, I leave that uncommented.
Last entry in this section was about FIFA. Today’s news, that occured at Spiegel online deals with the same topic. FIFA does not get their problems under control. More and more currupcies occur. Today’s news deals with FIFA announcement for Germany to host WC in 2006. Spiegel mentions that German football association (DFB) hosted a black checkout to invest in host rights for FIFA. Now, DFB is involved in that scandal, too. I still remember those days, back in 2006, the “Sommermärchen” (translation: summer fairy tale)… It was a very nice time… I am sad, that all of this was forced through money.
Source: Skandal um deutsche Bewerbung: Schwarze Kasse – Fußball-WM 2006 mutmaßlich gekauft [DE], translation: Scandal concerning german application: Black checkout – Soccer World Cup putative bought.
Long time we did not hear about our all-time favorite sports agency… FIFA… Now, investigations showed, that their CEO, Sepp Blatter was involved in corrupcy himself.
Süddeutsche Zeitung reported today: Fragwürdiger Deal mit Blatters Unterschrift [DE], translation: Questionable deal with Blatter’s signature.
The TV rights from World Championships 2010 and 2014 were sold for only 600,000 dollars to Warner, Blatter’s deputy. Poor thing… I hope, that investigations will lead to the conclusion, that Blatter should be imprisoned.
Today, news stated, that Swiss prosecutors investigate against Sepp Blatter, as well… Not only for Blatter’s TV deal with his deputy, but payment to Michel Platini, chairman of UEFA and his possible successor for FIFA’s chair. Stay tuned… Sure, more to come here soon…
Blatter and his deputy, Platini, were now suspended for 90 days from FIFA ethical commission. Very good… 🙂
Officials do just the opposite they are asked to do. Yet, this rule has been justified, once more:
SpVgg Unterhaching, a german 4th division soccer/football club asked DFB officials not to fix their 2nd round match of german cup at the same day Bayern Munich plays. Due to the local neighborhood Unterhaching could aspect much less attendance, if Bayern plays at the same time.
What did they do? Let’s call it intention… They fixed the 2nd round match of Unterhaching exactly at the same time, as Bayern Munich plays.
I guess, that is, because DFB officials don’t want non-professional teams to advance in further rounds. Please, if any DFB official reads this comment, please tell me, what other reason made you decide the way you did…
This comment could be posted under “political and social”, as well, but Marco Reus is a kind of professional football/soccer player, therefore I decided to write it here…
Not very professional is what he did concerning driving cars. Not only that he received five speeding tickets since 2011, but driving without licence, as well. While mentioning “not very professional”, two questions arose:
1) How can he own a car, that is registered in his name, without owning a driver’s licence?
2) How can he get five (!!!) speeding tickets without anyone noticing his lack of a driver’s licence?
Not very professional, at all… Now, his case is about to be closed… A person, who is not a V.I.P. like Reus, would probably be judged in a different way… Much more “professional”. Yes, that’s German judiciary. 🙁
FIFA election: Blatter re-elected after withdrawal of Prince Ali. Now, both UEFA and CONCACAF (Northern American Football Association) should decide to leave FIFA, and make their own Association. Then, a FIFA World Cup will be held with African and Asian teams only. The by far more interesting countries would play for the new Association. And Blatter could live his corrupt way without opponents. CONMEBOL (Southern American Football Association) should be asked, what Association they want to join.
The problem is: Sense for corruption only exists in Europe and Northern America. Blatter has learned that system and now benefits from it. Therefore, it is time to BOYCOTT FIFA and start something new.
Ok, now, the corruption of FIFA is about to come out to public. I forgot to write a comment about the recent development in that affair. Blatter resigned, and more and more threats occured how FIFA officials collected bribes. I wonder what happens now… Most likely, another corrupt president succeeds Blatter. 🙁
Curruption and FIFA, that goes hand in hand like identical twins. Yet, two days before the re-election of FIFA chairman Sepp Blatter, at least six persons, amongst those six members of FIFA executive committee, have been arrested because of corruption. Nice timing. :-).
Fifa speaker Walter de Gregorio stated, that Sepp Blatter itself should have nothing to do with it… Of course not… Makes me *ANGRY*.
Source: Zugriff in Zürich: Schweizer Polizei nimmt Fifa-Funktionäre fest, Spiegel online [DE]. Translation: “Access in Zurich: Swiss police arrests FIFA functionaries.
New developments in FIFA affair: Now, sponsors are horrified because of the arrestments of FIFA officials. They are about to retire from their engagement. That makes me happy. It could not go on like that. As well, UEFA officials are thinking of a boycott of FIFA congress. I hope they will. BLATTER, GO HOME!
Changes of the regularities of UEFA Champions League… The champions should now benefit from the draw seedings. This means: Clubs like Paris St. Germain, Zenith St. Petersburg, Benfica Lisbon, and PSV Eindhoven are now in the first pot, while clubs like Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Valencia, Porto, Arsenal or Manchester City are fixed in the second pot. This means, that clubs like Bayern can now face Real already at group stage. An absurdity, that the UEFA club ranking won’t be the only fact for the drawing. That makes the drawing, once more, ridiculous. If all regularities for the drawing had been cancelled, I would have understood. But yet, it seems like a confused decision made by a stupid committee of UEFA members, that does not make any sense at all.
Another case of corrupcy in the world of football, this time concearning UEFA:
UEFA is about to loosen regulations of “Financial Fair-Play”. Source: Transfermarkt.de: Platini bestätigt: UEFA wird Financial Fairplay-Regeln lockern [DE]. Some clubs, owned by some rich families or persons would benefit. One of them is Paris St. Germain. The explosive thing about it: UEFA chairman Platini’s son works for the club’s sponsor. Quote: Source: Welt: Darum kuscht Platini vor dem gerissenen Blatter [DE].
Loosing the regulations of Financial Fair-Play in favour for a club sponsor where the chairmans son works, are a fortunate coincidence, and no plan at all, of course.
My mother said: One has to boycot professional football forever. One day, I am going to do that, if things go on like that.
Crazy scenes at Superclásico: A supporter of Boca Juniors took a pepper spray to fire on River Plate players, injuring them quite seriously. Spiegel reported: Copa Libertadores: Fan sorgt mit Pfefferspray-Attacke für Spielabbruch [DE].
In that article, they mentioned that it is not certain, if the game is repeated at a neutral location, or maybe, will be counted for River Plate. My opinion: What a question… Counted for River Plate, suspension for Boca for at least two or three years from Copa Libertadores. Otherwise, these “Supporters” never learn… and these clubs never learn to do anything against it…
Yes, that comment needs to be posted under branch “Sports”, because it must have been great sports from a 10-year old boy, if the victim’s argument is true…
This ten-year old guy took some shots before his football game started (at halftime). He failed to hit the goal, hit the crossbar instead, then the ball hit the roof of the team benches and finally made his way into the face of a players’ mother. The glasses she wore, were broken. Usually a case for liability insurance… Usually… But the player’s mother stated, that this guy took a shot on her on purpose. The liability insurance’s company argued differently: They say, that it is bad fortune for someone attending a football match. Seems like the boy’s family has to pay for it by themselves, if the woman continues to argue, that this shot was on purpose.
But what a great sport… A shot in her face on purpose, first hitting the crossbar, then hitting the team benches’ roof… I wonder if Messi or Neymar, or maybe Schweinsteiger are able to take a shot like that ON PURPOSE.
Sounds like a really funny case… But it is not… The ten year old guy made a comment on it, and is heavily dramatizised. He said, if he made a mistake, he needs to finish his football-career, because he cannot guarantee to hit the goal everytime. He now got worse in school, can’t sleep properly any more. This case makes it to a court decision.
Source: Bayern 1 radio station.
What stupid action. I hope that the court will judge in favour for the young football player. And, if so, I would strongly recommend the family of that young player to bring this woman to court, as well. What a nasty insinuation. They need to get damages. My advise for the young player: Go on playing… You’ll make your way. 🙂
The news was from yesterday, but now, there is a press conference: Müller-Wohlfahrt quitted his job as team doctor of Bayern Munich. Rumors said, that he and the coach Pep Guardiola had a long-running dispute because of his medical treatments. In my eyes, Pep Guardiola is about to destroy the family of Bayern Munich. He wants to install his own doctor. Thiago Alcantara had a torn ligament, which was cured by this spanish doctor. He cured this injury in a conservative way. Müller-Wohlfahrt quoted that treatment, that now, he fears, this injury would come back… And so it was… But unfortunately, Pep can’t see the competence of Müller-Wohlfahrt.
I hope, that management recognizes, that Pep Guardiola lacks in social competence, and that he is about to destroy the whole instance of Bayern Munich, the whole surrounding, the whole family. Next step will be, that he fires Hermann Gerland as his assistant.
My advice: Get rid of Guardiola… He has achieved absolutely NOTHING!!! I would make the team of Bayern being Champions of Bundesliga as a coach, as well.
Yesterday, I watched the non-professional Derby of Bayern vs. 1860 Munich. Much was discussed in advance of the game. Police told, that 1,000 policeman will be deployed for that game. The game itself was sold out with 12,500 spectators immediately.
I must admit, I had not watched a game of that explosive force for a long time, and expected it to be quite hard.
Arrived at the subway station, I had to wait for a friend of mine. We called us together, and found each other. We walked to the stadium. A five-minute walk all in all. I went there as a neutral spectator, my collegue covered his red clothes, so that we could walk through a whole bunch of supporters of 1860 Munich. Bayern supporters were asked to get off at another station.
Arrived at the stadium itself, we had to cross the line of police cars queuing to seperate the reds from the blues. Luckily, we made the way through. Then, we had to wait some quarter of an hour, to enter the stadium, because many supporters were already waiting to enter.
The game itself was not worth mentioning, but Bayern supporters really showed some good support. The “Stehhalle” (supporters stand) of “Stadion an der Grünwalder Straße” was filled with red umbrellas. Unfortunately, some fireworks were used, as well. I wonder why. Some of these fireworks even made their way on the pitch, so that second half started with a delay of about 10 minutes.
After the game, I started to go home quite after the final whistle. I tried to make my way back to the subway station to where we came from, but this time, everything was locked. A policeman said, that he sees me as a neutral supporter, so that I could make my way through police barricades, but the policemen building these barricades have seen that in a different light. So I had to walk in the other direction, to the other subway station, where Bayern supporters were supposed to enter public transport. I wonder why there were supporters of 1860, as well. On one hand seperation of neutral supporters from entering 1860 supporter area, and at the subway station supporters of both teams. Not quite strict and consistent orders.
But what can you expect of police anyway? One said, I should go through the barricades, the other keeps me apart from doing that. I strongly recommend police to have a consistent order, that makes the way to ALL policemen working at this place… AND: I DON’T WANT TO SEE A SUPPORTER OF 1860 IN BAYERN SUPPORTERS’ SUBWAY STATION, IF I AM KEPT APART FROM GOING TO 1860 SUPPORTERS’ SUBWAY STATION AS A NEUTRAL SPECTATOR.
Hard to cateorize that under “Sports” hence it is not in the sense of any sports. I received two refusals for tickets applications within two days. Both application for German Cup final and final of Champions-League ended in a refusal. As I expected it…
But the point is, that, for Champions League final, more than twice as much tickets are reserved for partners than for neutral spectators that want to buy a ticket in a usual way. Now, I can focus on winning a lottery of Coca Cola, Mastercard, Ford, and so on, to be able to attend that game.
Poor football (soccer)… Let the fat cats of sponsors pass their tickets to their whole families, that don’t even matter if they got any… Officials of sports associations should all be shot to moon with no way back.
Again a case of corruption, again FIFA… German building contractors “Bilfinger” have bribed FIFA-functionaries to get a contract for World Championship 2014 in Brazil to build transport control systems. I doubt that FIFA will EVER be free from corruption. As long as Blatter stays head of this organziation (“non-profit”, as he often ridicously proclaims), things will even get worse and worse. 🙁
Oh no, not again… Very tough riots at Regionalliga match between Union Berlin and BFC Dynamo Berlin. Union supporters wanted to enter away stand. Police tried to keep them apart. More than 100 policemen were hurt, more than 100 were arrested… I ask myself again: WHY??? These stupid Hooligans, Ultras, whatever… I hope, each of them will go to prison for a very long time, because castration is not allowed… In my eyes, they would deserve that.
But I hope, that both clubs (again clubs from Eastern Germany) will be punished very hard, as well. They do nothing, or far too less against these riots, to prevent them to happen. And, again and again, these riots happen… and, again and again, the same clubs are involved. Most of the toughest supporters come from Eastern Germany.
I, for myself, have made some experiences of riots from teams of Eastern Germany playing against each other, therefore, I know, what I’m talking about… and: I have seen many games where these “Ossi”-teams played away… and I can hardly remember a game without riots initiated by supporters from the away team (these clubs from Eastern Germany).
I hope, DFB will act… I strongly recommend to place a task-force working out this topic. There is a huge need for action…
Today, I heard about riots that happened in the surrounding of Monday’s game Karlsruher SC vs. RB Leipzig. Karlsruhe Ultras had entered the team’s hotel of Leipzig players before the game. After the game, Leipzig coach Rangnick’s car was hit by color bags from KSC Ultras (Ultra 1894).
Yes, I don’t like teams like Leipzig, who only have success in sports, because they have got a popular company as main sponsor… BUT: That does NOT justify ANY riots like these. So that is why police has to act the way they do. So these “supporters”, Ultra 1894, are the reason for the hardline tactics the police has to go. It is YOUR own fault, dear “Ultra 1894”.
I know the scene of Karlsruhe Ultras, as long as they exist… Many of YOU, who now call themselves “Ultras” haven’t even been to matches of KSC that time… And they want to tell ME, how I have to support “my club”? Come on, you kiddies, go home to your mother… Please try to get information of Ultra movement, before telling me something about it… You kiddies don’t even know the old Ultra code… Ultra movement is much older than all of you, and has special rules that, obviously, most of YOU have never heard of.
Spiegel reports: Krawalle gegen RB Leipzig: DFB ermittelt gegen Karlsruher SC [de] (Riots against RB Leipzig: DFB investigates KSC).
I can say: Karlsruher SC is repeat offender of these riots. It won’t be the first time they get punished… and… probably not the last. Therefore, I expect a very hard punishment, which, in my eyes is necessary.
Today, media told that sports functionaries of world cycling association protected cyclers that were convicted of doping. As written in an earlier comment on World Chamionship award to Qatar: I am losing faith in a fair sportsmanship, because functionaries get more and more corrupt. Not only the sportsmen themselves are corrupt now, but even the functionaries are part of the system of corrupcy. FIFA is maybe the most common organisation of corrupcy in sports, but that news learned us, that they aren’t the only.
Today, Bayern plays Cologne in Allianz Arena Fröttmaning. At the moment, I am not sure, if I should attend that game. I am not feeling well, and the game is late in the evening. Yes, I’m a season ticket holder for Bayern Munich, spending 140 Euro each season to be able to attend games of Bundesliga.
Today a court decided, that FC Bayern can cancel subscriptions of season ticket holders that don’t attend enough games. In the case of that decision the season ticket holder could not attend 10 out of 17 games of Bundesliga, because he built his own home. Bayern gave an explanation that season ticket holders of “Südkurve” (Bayern supporters area) could lose their subscription if they do not attend the majority of games. They mentioned, that tickets which are re-sold at “Ticket-Zweitmarkt” will be counted as “game attended”, because other supporters could visit the game instead.
In this case, this person sold his ticket for ALL games he could not attend. FC Bayern cancelled his subscription anyway… BROKEN THEIR WORD… The second time, that FC Bayern did not keep their promises made. The first was Uli Hoeneß, saying: “If Wolfsburg ever will be German Champions, we will spend them a town hall balcony.”. In 2009, Wolfsburg became Champions, but their town hall still has not got any balcony…
Poor thing, that, in this case, a female judge was in charge. Maybe threatened of football (soccer) by her own husband.
Ok, a nearer view of the case mentioned above raised the question, if, maybe, the season ticket holder sold his tickets not at “Zweitmarkt” of the official Bayern-Homepage, but used some Ticket agencies like Viagogo or so, to make profit. If that was the case, then, I understand the decision of the court, of course.
Now no sports comment, but culture… Oh yes, I call “Musikantenstadl” culture… In my eyes a pity that Andy Borg is forced to leave “Musikantenstadl”. He made a great job, I think. The reason for his drop-out: the TV-stations want to reach a younger audience. Oh yes… Lady Gaga to “Musikantenstadl”. How come? Do they only have “younger” people in their audience? But, I can assure… If that happens, they lose at least one person in their audience. That’s me…
I’m not sure, where to place the comment… it is both political and sports… An agreement was made, that, for non-professional football (soccer) players and coaches in Germany you needn’t apply statutory minimum wage. Not easy to place a statutory minimum wage in a wide range… You have to think of a lot of exceptions. In this case, coaches and team carers can still work on a honorly basis. All in all a useful exception. But on the other hand: A lot of other branches will try to get an exception, as well.
Bad aspect of sports: Yesterday’s game in Rome, Feyenoord Rotterdam playing at Stadio Olimpico against “la Roma”. Match result: I don’t care… But what happened in Rome was horrific. Ultra’s of Feyenoord ran berserk. Some 20 were sent to prison and had to pay up to 45,000 Euro. I hope, that UEFA acts immidiately. Drop out for Feyenoord for all European Cup competitions for at least five years. But, again, I doubt, that ANYTHING happens. The point is: it didn’t happen in Stadio Olimpico, but downtown Rome. Poor thing, that the club now can’t be punished for their “supporters”.
Cruelty amongst football supporters force police to act harder. Yet, I understand, why police acts the way they do. In recent times, I made the experience that a peaceful come-together of supporters of opponent teams cannot be held, because of the stupidity of so called “ULTRAS”. People seeing themselves as ULTRAS often don’t even know the oringins of ULTRA-movement. The younger don’t know the code of ULTRA, or, if they do, they don’t keep it. Their education has FAILED. And their number gets more and more… Poor world, no peaceful life with those pubertal children.
And: to all of you: Pyrotechnics IS A CRIME!!!
Again riots in the re-match. The match was interrupted after riots. Both teams should immidiately dropped out of European Cup and be abandoned for years. Let’s wait for the decision of the board.
FIFA World Cup 2022 (Qatar) will take place in winter… Of course… Now, world climate changed that rapidly, so that this step is required… How could FIFA know that before, when they decided to vote for Qatar? 🙂 Financial profit played no role in the decision for Qatar, of course… What about Bundesliga and other professional leauges? No winter brake at all?
“We’re a non-profit organization.” (Quote: Josef “Sepp” Blatter). Of course, you are… SHUT UP!!!
“We care about football.” (slogan of FIFA). Of course, you do…
In winter 2022, another major sports event will be held: Olympic Winter Games. Where? To be announced… One thing for sure: NOT in Munich. Unfortunately, the majority of Munich citizens voted against another application for Olympic Winter games, after 2018 application failed.
Anyway, it is going to be a sporty winter of 2022… and a very boring summer.
Public viewing at christmas market 2022… A commission of FIFA experts have now suggested, that FIFA World Cup 2022 should be held at November and December… German satire magazine “Postillon” made a nice comment about that: Papst verlegt Weihnachten 2022 in den Sommer [de]. (Pope postpones christmas to summer).
Because of the reasons mentioned in the original comment above, both German and British football associations are “not amused” about the postpone of WC 2022.
Now heard that not less than five world championships until 2022 in different sports will be held in Qatar. Of course, a fair decision to pass each of these world championships to Qatar. Of course, no bribe at all… Corrupt functionaries everywhere. I lose confidence in a fair sportsmanship with each fact, that comes public…
TSV 1860 have got a new coach. Ok, maybe he does a better job than von Ahlen did. But I doubt that. Whatever…
Now, they are planning to go back to their former stadium: “Stadion an der Grünwalder Straße”. A stadium right downtown Munich. No parking lots at all. But, if 1860 will play in 3rd division next season, it will do. Some 10,000 in average… working well in Munich-Giesing… 🙂
At least they won their first match with their new coach against FC St. Pauli on Feb. 22nd, 2015 with 2-1.
